What this site is
gijoe.army is a fan-run archive for the G.I. Joe property. We cover the full Hasbro line from the 1982 ARAH launch through the current Classified Series, the Sunbow and DiC animated series, Sigma 6, Renegades, the live-action films, the Marvel comics from 1982-1994, the Marvel UK run, the Devil's Due continuation, the IDW years, and the current Skybound Energon Universe relaunch. Vehicles, file cards, and packaging art are treated as first-class catalog entries alongside figures.
The aim is the most complete G.I. Joe fan reference under one roof, built by people who actually love the property.
How it's run
This is a hobby project. There are no paywalls. Affiliate commissions on toy and comic links offset hosting, and may fund contributor stipends as the team grows. Editorial decisions sit with the maintainers, affiliate sources have no influence on coverage.
On the use of AI
The site is managed and content is prepared with the assistance of Claude (Anthropic). Drafts, catalog entries, news posts, and research notes are generated with AI assistance. Content is reviewed, edited, and approved into final state by a small team of fans before it ships.
We use AI for speed and breadth, not as a replacement for human editorial judgment. Factual material (prices, dimensions, ship dates, issue numbers, credits, episode numbers, cast lists) is grounded in primary sources: Hasbro press releases, Hasbro Pulse campaign pages, the Grand Comics Database, official cartoon studio sites, and the Internet Archive. Where a source is missing or contested, the entry says so.
We label this disclosure once, here, so the rest of the site can stay focused on the content. If you want to flag a factual error, the contact form is below.
Not affiliated
gijoe.army is not affiliated with Hasbro, Paramount, Skybound, IDW, or any other rights holder. G.I. Joe, Cobra, character names, vehicle names, the file-card format, and related trademarks are the property of Hasbro and other respective owners. Under fair use, we use images and quotations to identify and discuss the works.
