Hasbro shows new Classified figures at 7:15 on Thursday, and the Energon Universe panel follows on Saturday morning

New York Comic Con runs at the Javits Center from Thursday 8 October to Sunday 11 October, and the show’s own schedule carries three sessions a Joe collector should put in the calendar. Two of them name G.I. Joe outright. Neither of those two is on Sunday.

Hasbro Toy Panel, Action Brands. Thursday 8 October, 7:15 to 8:00 PM, North Room 406.1. The listing is one sentence and it names both lines: the latest from Transformers, and new additions to the G.I. Joe Classified Series. This is the reveal slot, and it runs on the first evening of the show, before the hall opens on Friday.

Transformers and G.I. Joe: What’s Next for the Energon Universe? Saturday 10 October, 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM, North Room 406.2. Skybound rather than Hasbro, a full hour, and five credited guests: Robert Kirkman, Dan Watters, Tom Reilly, Jason Howard and Conor Hughes. Two of the five are credited to Joe titles, Reilly on G.I. Joe and Watters on M.A.S.K., and the panel runs under both brand names rather than inside somebody else’s slot. [1]

The third is Skybound Comics: Vision for the Future, Friday 9 October at 4:00 PM in North Room 406.3, and its blurb names Transformers, Invincible and Universal Monsters without naming Joe. We read that one as the publisher-wide slate and Saturday’s as the Energon Universe hour, but if you are in the building on both days, go to both.

The Sunday 11:00 slot is a different Hasbro panel

If you have seen a Hasbro Action Brands toy panel listed for Sunday 11 October at 11:00 AM in North Room 406.3, the slot is real and the panel in it is not ours. The show’s own schedule has that hour as the Hasbro Star Wars and Marvel panel, covering the Black Series, the Vintage Collection and Marvel Legends. If you were staying through Sunday for Classified news, the panel you want is on Thursday night.

We read all four days of the schedule on the show’s site rather than the write-ups of it, and the Thursday 7:15 slot that Toy News International reported on 22 September holds up as published.

Before Thursday

The reveals do not change what is on the shelf now. The Arctic B.A.T. reissue is still open for preorder at BigBadToyStore at 27.99 dollars, and the listing’s arrival estimate reads October 2026 this morning, having read September when we covered it. The other Classified page worth revisiting first is Snake Eyes and Varmint ATV versus Stealth Viper and Trubble Bubble.

On the comics side, Saturday’s panel sits three days after G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero and Tomb Raider, which our July post dates to 7 October. The issue is in shops before Reilly and Watters sit down.
