G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero issue 22 was published by IDW Publishing with a cover date of March 2019 at a cover price of 17.99 USD.

Doctor Venom’s robot plows through Cobra’s forces. The Snake Eyes robot offers to help the G.I. Joe team. Although the robot housing Dr. Venom’s mind resists an assault by Cobra aircraft, the Joes are able to destroy it with explosives, seemingly eradicating Dr. Venom once and for all. Sightline is badly wounded in the fight but a rescue team led by Duke evacuates Bombstrike’s group. The Joes transport Sightline back to the Pit, but his wounded leg is amputated during surgery. Grateful to the Joes for helping him, Doctor Mindbender secretly delivers a prosthetic leg to the Joes. In Shazidar, Cover Girl leads a Joe team to rescue UN relief workers from a terrorist army called Green Morning. Meanwhile, Destro has launched a hostile takeover of Revanche by eliminating all of their known bases simultaneously; the queen of the Blue Ninjas orders her followers to attack the Arashikage. In Shazidar, Cover Girl’s team is caught in a gunfight with government forces while Heavy Duty, Airborne and Ripcord try to defend civilians from Green Morning. Meanwhile, Ambush brings Milo to Budo’s dojo in San Francisco and Destro raids another Revanche base in Kansas, but is met by the massive Alpha 001 Prime entity.
