Ninja Force Is Up For Preorder at $59.99, and the Two Stores Selling It Disagree About October

Hasbro put a Friday and an hour on this two-pack in a Facebook post on August 19 and never said where it would go on sale. At nine o’clock this morning it went up at two retailers at once. The G.I. Joe Classified Series Ninja Force Snake Eyes and Kim “Jinx” Arashikage set is live for preorder at Target and on Hasbro’s own Pulse store, and both are asking $59.99. That is the first price we have seen attached to it anywhere!

Target lists it as item 94977261 with a live Preorder button, a release date of October 4 and a delivery estimate of October 7 to 12. Store pickup is switched off. Hasbro Pulse lists the same set under SKU G20475L00 and says the pre-order “will be available to ship on approximately November 15, 2026.”

Settle that before you put money down, because the two stores carrying this set do not agree on when you get it. Target has printed a dated release with a delivery window against it, while Hasbro has printed the word “approximately.” Both can move; they are not promises of the same weight, and Target’s window is the earlier one by about five weeks.

Nobody is calling it a Target exclusive this morning

Toy News International, Toy Habits and Mephitsu have all written this set up as a Target exclusive since August, and we said in our own coverage that the label was the trade press reading across from the Scarlett and T’Jbang two-pack rather than anything Hasbro had said. Target’s product page carries no exclusive badge on it this morning, and Hasbro Pulse is selling the same SKU in the same hour. [1]

Pulse attaches a condition of its own instead. The listing was flagged Premium Members Only when we loaded it this morning, so Hasbro’s own store has put this particular box behind a paid subscription. A collector who is not a member is left with Target, and Target is carrying the earlier window anyway.

What the $59.99 covers

The set is Classified Series #223, two six-inch figures and, by Hasbro’s own count, 21 accessory pieces. Hasbro itemises them. Snake Eyes takes the alternate wolf-masked head, two nunchuks, two claws, a knife, two swords, a scabbard and three weapon accessories. Jinx takes a bow and arrow, a quiver sheath, two swords, two alternate hands, an alternate head, a raven mask and a removable feather shawl. In the photograph above, the tray is behind them and almost none of that is still in it. Both designs, and where the blue ended up, are in our piece from the reveal.

For a sense of the band: the Classified #196 Professor Rottclaw and Cobra Deinonychus set carries a $51.99 list on the same Target shelf, and that one is a figure and a beast.

Target cancelled preorders on the last one of these

The Scarlett and T’Jbang set went up at Target the same way, and the trouble with it came after checkout rather than at it. Collectors in the r/GIJOEClassifiedSeries thread we quoted in August were reporting that Target had taken their preorders for that set and then cancelled them. This drop belongs to the same weekly Fall Geek-Out run of Friday events, capped at two units per item per order. [2] If the cancellations repeat, that is worth more attention than whether the listing holds up this morning.

Meanwhile Ninja Force has been on Target shelves in another form all year. Super7’s ReAction+ Cobra Commander and Snake Eyes on hot pink cards were Target exclusives at $20.99 when we last read the listings, and two more of them, Destro and Quick Kick, surfaced on a Philippine retail listing this month with no announcement from Super7 at all. In the r/gijoe thread under the Destro and Quick Kick cards, u/Dicfive wrote that everything he had previously disliked about Ninja Force was “instantly reversed” by the Destro.

Snake Eyes has been through the Classified line many times over. Jinx has one previous Classified figure, number 124 in her red comics uniform with a blindfold and a single sword, and this box hands her a compound bow, a quiver, a raven mask and a feather shawl. She is the reason to set an alarm for a preorder rather than wait for the peg, and Target’s is the date that gets her to you first.

  1. The box front carries the item code G2047 under the age rating, read off Hasbro’s product photography, while Pulse files the same set as G20475L00. We take the longer string to be the store SKU with a packaging and region suffix rather than a second product; the Classified number on both is 223.
  2. Target’s Fall Geek-Out runs four Friday drops, September 11, 18 and 25 and October 2, with a limit of two units of each item per order. Toy News International, Tformers and Toy Habits each read that off Target’s own promotional copy at the start of the month, and each of the three reported that Target had not said which brands fell on which day.
